Benedicto de Lima, 90 years old, died in Guarulhos, in the state of São Paulo, Brazil, after seeing his wife, Nilta de Lima, 87 years old, for the last time in the hospital where he had been admitted with pneumonia. The couple, married for 68 years, had an emotional encounter in which Benedicto greeted her with emotion and said, “Hello, my love!”, while Nilta hugged him and kissed him on the forehead; minutes later he closed his eyes and died in her arms. The couple’s granddaughter shared the video of the moment on social media, and it went viral because of the moving farewell of the elderly couple.
