Kellie Pickler’s Husband Kyle Jacobs Found Dead At Age 49


Kellie Pickler, is heartbroken following her husband Kyle Jacobs death, which was determined to be a suicide. He was 49.

Nashville police and firefighters who responded to the location reported finding the songwriter “deceased from an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound.”

“His death is being investigated as an apparent suicide.”

The 36-year-old country singer and anchor of SiriusXM’s The Highway told police that she woke up shortly beforehand but couldn’t locate Jacobs. The statement claims that she and her personal assistant called the police when they were unable to enter a specific room in the residence.

The day before he passed away, Jacobs posted a celebratory Instagram in which he shared a photo announcing that Lee Brice’s Hey World had been certified platinum.

According to Music City Hitmakers, Jacobs moved to Nashville from Minneapolis in the year 2000.

The songs “More Than Memory” (a 2007 hit for Garth Brooks) and “Still” (a 2010 smash for Tim McGraw) were both written by him.

Jacobs had also collaborated with celebrities including Kelly Clarkson, Randy Travis, Scotty McCreery, Josh Kelley, and Clay Walker.

Jacobs has had three award nominations, won a Country Music Association award, and an Academy of Country Music award over the course of his career.

A surprise wedding took place between Pickler and Jacobs on January 1, 2011.

After dating since 2008, the pair finally became engaged on June 15, 2010, when Jacobs proposed while vacationing in Florida.

“It was the most spiritual moment.” Pickler, who got her start on American Idol, said of the proposal. “We would’ve gotten married that night had there been a preacher walking by!”

Days after getting married, Pickler tweeted, “Private Island. Caribbean. Cigar in one hand, Rum in the other. Someone just called me “Mrs. Jacobs.”….sounds nice :)”
