Family of 4-year-old girl with terminal cancer asks people to send birthday cards

The family of a 4-year-old girl diagnosed with terminal brain cancer in October want to do all they can to ensure she has the most special birthday possible.

“Your heart stops for a minute. The world stops. You can’t breathe, you just try to process it. She’s four, you know?” Delaney’s mom, Heather Krings, said. As per reports, Delaney Krings of Pewaukee, Wisconsin was diagnosed with cancer and her family told that she might only have six weeks to live.

This is so heartbreaking. Sharing for all who want to contribute to this little girl’s happiness by send her a birthday card. Wisconsin family asks for birthday cards as 4-year-old girl, Delaney Krings, battles terminal brain cancer

“She brought light and love to people. That’s why she’s our angel. And, apparently, she’s being called elsewhere to finish her angel work,” Heather added.

The 4-year-old is currently at Children’s Hospital in Milwaukee. Her mother and father are taking turns to watch her so that she’s never alone and always has a loved one by her side. Next week, Delaney will go home for hospice care. Heather added: “You can’t really convey to a kid that they won’t be around much longer. So she knows she’s in the hospital because of the ‘owies’ in her head.” On December 16, Delaney will turn five years old. Her family are aiming to give her a special final birthday, and are asking for birthday cards to be sent from all over the world. They say they want to get a card from every continent if possible.

“As long as she still knows what’s going on, she can laugh, she can hear, she can see, she knows us, she remembers us. That clock, you have to ignore it because what’s our purpose here? To make whatever time she has left as best as we can.”

Please send prayers in your thoughts to this girl. Thanks a lot.
