Tracy Matthews, a 44-year-old grandmother from Lorain, Ohio, battled obesity for many years; at her heaviest, she weighed 605 pounds (274 kg).

Tracy’s only desire when she appeared on the show “My 600-Lb. Life” was to be able to live close to her grandchildren and regain her health and mobility.

She had intricate operations performed under a doctor’s supervision, including having extra skin and weight removed from her legs. She consequently reduced almost 167 pounds (76 kg) thanks only to medical procedures.
